Hi Andrew

Is elements running in Rosetta? If you've got intel scanner drivers
installed, a program running through Rosetta won't be able to see
them. If you Get Info on the Photoshop Elements icon, it'll tell you
if a) it's a PowerPC program or a Universal Binary and b) if it's set
to launch in Rosetta.

If it's a Universal Binary and is set to launch through Rosetta,
untick the box and relaunch Elements (it'll be much faster that way
anyway). If it's a PowerPC program, go to www.epson.co.uk and download
the PowerPC scanner drivers.
