Just for interest, Comet online seem to have a supply of the previous white 2.1GHz Macbook, model MB402B/A, with 120GB disk and 1 GB memory at £587.22. This compares to the one Apple is selling at £719 which, I think, has a model number of MB402B/B but otherwise appears identical, at least I cannot tell them apart.
The odd price comes from Comet introducing the lower VAT rate of 15% prior to Monday. Be warned that if you go ahead and buy one, check the Purchase receipt as the VAT change is causing some computer calculation problems. I've bought one and will be maxing the memory to 4GB with Crucial memory at £45. Is it easy to upgrade the disk drive on these models? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
