Hi Ella

It's probable that the latest version of iTunes doesn't allow drag &  
drop to a local disk ie one that appears on your desktop. Dragging the  
files to the desktop or a folder on the desktop will export the files,  
then you can use Finder to copy them over to the USB disk, it's a bit  
of a hassle but only one more step to remember.
