my last generation MB (pre-aluminium) had a very noisy fan. I took it apart in the end and found that the RAM was covered with fine white power that I cleaned up (anyone reading anything into 'fine white powder' has a dirty mind, by the way....) and then it improved. Bit of a mystery. I vacuumed as much as I could from the machine to remove as much as possible, cleaned the RAM chips and put them back. So it might be dust in there somehow... --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
