Having read the reviews of this printer on Amazon, my advice is return it and go for a different model. This one seems to have a very high failure rate out of the box! It's not that it isn't compatible with Macs, it's that it isn't very reliable, allegedly. Before you decide on which make/model to replace this with, check out Amazon for reviews of all-in-ones in your price-range. I find it's always a good idea as you (mostly) get honest opinions (beware the rants and/or zealous peons of praise) although you need to read between the lines sometimes.
My practie is to check out the item on the web and read up as much as is practical on it, reviews form mags, Amazon, anywhere like that.
