Dear All Apologies for my slowness in getting to this to set it up, but at last we're ready (drum roll), Tom has kindly volunteered to do the checking process that means you can get your MUG offers at
<http://www.macusersuk.org/offers/offers.php> Please read the following notes though: 1) These offers are only any good because a lot of work has been put in behind the scenes by 'national' MUG people building a secure environment. Don't give the codes away (actually I'm not sure if you can or not, I haven't tried). 2) You don't have membership numbers so leave that blank. 3) Tom has to check each person individually (if we are discovered just clicking people through, we get access suspended or cancelled, which is fair enough.) I suggest you put something in the message box, like 'Hello Tom' so that he can be suspicious if there is none... 4) I don't plan to peruse the offers too regularly myself (I get educational discounts which are usually better than these ones) but if you see a new one, do please mention it here. 5) This is a rather tedious job (checking applications are genuine) so please don't assume it will be done very promptly. I think a few days is reasonable but if a week passes, drop me a line telling me when you applied. I do ask that you don't pester either Tom or myself too quickly (we're volunteers, remember!) 6) That's it.
