I have a number of problems with my MBP. Some screaming, wining noise. I turned off at once. Turning on again it reappeared. Now it's clear, and I hope to be able to complete an uptodate backup.
The machine screen going to sleep when I close the top, but, judging from the temperature when I come back, the rest not going to sleep. When I try to wake up, the screen remains dead. I have to force quit, and then get kernel panic sounds, while I play with the on and off, until it clears. There is a clicking sound, well a sort of phut, about once a second, every so often. I have had a small square appear in outline on my screen for no reason I know. None of these are perpetual or continuous. Suggestion?
