I had one of the LaCie ext.discs which was fine until one day I detached it from computer without first putting it in the waste bin - and now of course it won't work any more. I hate LaCie but it was my fault. So I thought I could use iPhone instead - but so far without success. I have got one of those little gadgets size of a rubber which fits into USB (it calls itself a microvault) and I can transfer stuff with that but it is a bit complicated with Calendar as it won't save to it and I have to save to HD first and then from there to the microvault.
