Just a quick warning. I bought a MacBook from
JL because it came with a free two year
warranty. The optical drive's stopped working
so I called them to arrange a repair and
really got sent round the houses - first to a
third party warranty company who said "they
do this all the time, it's nothing to do with
us" and then to Apple ("the machine's out of
warranty, sir"). when I went back to JL ready
for an argument, I spoke to someone who
arranged the repair immediately, no questions.
The moral? There are some people at JL who
don't know how their own warranties work -
don't let them fob you off with duff
information. I'll be writing their customer
service team as well.
