No, it isn't spam. My 18 month old white case Macbook suddenly seems to be getting hotter than it was when it's charging. The heat comes from "behind" the battery, in other words in the area over your left thigh from about halfway back if (as now) you are sitting with it on the sofa.
I don't remember it getting this warm before. There is also an odd and very quiet hum when I use the trackpad but only when the magsafe connector is attached. The magsafe connector itself is not even warm. The transformer is also hotter than I remember. Do I have a problem developing? (For which read: "Will I have an excuse to upgrade?")
