If your G5 has been working fine for you, it sounds like a Mac Mini would do
the job.

Alternatively, you could buy any of the Macbooks (Pro or not) and plug in an
external display so you'd have two monitors.

In the office, I hook up my MBP to a 22" Samsung monitor and an old eMac
keyboard and mouse. 's very nice.
