Hi Mike,

Have you tried the Ethernet connection on your MacBook Pro instead of the
USB?

Do you have the latest Driver (2, A01) dated 6/26/2006?

The manual warns that you should not connect this printer to a keyboard USB
socket, so it is just possible the USB socket on the MacBook Pro is not up
to the job.

Can the MacBook Pro 'see' the 3100cn in the System Preferences->Print & Fax
listing?
