Jason,

Got hold of a black 32gb 3Gs the friday after the Apple store opened
(after an abortive attempt on the previous sunday due to problems
sorting out the 02 site on Windows) and I didn't appear to be the only
one... From friends - including those existing O2 users seeking to
upgrade - I understand that supplies at the O2 and Carphone Warehouse
stores aren't as good as they might wish...

Still getting to grips with it but am finding the App Stores 'Missing
Manual' for the iPhone a worthwhile investment !

Good hunting.

I have a feeling this is a dumb question but I can't find an
easy answer and don't know much about video, so indulge...:-)

I often take stuff from EyeTV and encode it for iPhone. For
various reasons it would be much easier to edit adverts etc out
*after* converting to m4v. But when i've tried this, software
like iMovie seems to convert to DV, allow me to edit, then
export agian, all of which is rather tedious, basically.

I'm waiting for Snow Leopard (when QT Pro comes free, at last)
but don't even know if QT will work with m4v without converting.
Is there something obvious I'm missing here?

PS had a nice holiday with the kids, admin now back (but going
away again early September).

If the BRighton Apple store seems to have iPhone 3GS in 32gig
black, give me a heads-up, by the way...no-one seems to have them!
