If worst comes to fruition, then unplug the printer and connect directly. It might be less problematic than wirelessly. It also gives you the opportunity to check that the printer and printer drivers are working.
Another way of testing the wireless is to plug in a set of speakers and then use iTunes to send some audio via Airtunes That will eliminate the wireless connection. If that does not work try resetting the wireless and resetting it up. Sometimes that has worked for me.
