I think that Snow Leopard is going to be 64 bit, Leopard is already multiprocessor ready. If you want the best of 64 bit you need to make sure that your software is 64 bit ready as well. Not many apps are 64 bit ready, and few need it. If you want any Adobe 64 bit apps you might have to wait awhile.
