-original message- Subject: [sussex_mug] iLife From: Virginia <[email protected]> Date: 07/09/2009 3:27 pm I am going to take the plunge and buy a MacBook Pro, and give away my iBook and G5 (to grandchildren). Could you advise me about iLife which comes with the new laptop? The sales guy at the Apple shop said the 09 is a much better version than the earlier ones and this is the word processing package to use, but my memory of trying to use iWork 06 is that it was incompatible with Microsoft programmes so that if I was sent an attachment with an email from a MS computer I couldn't open it. Up to now I have used Word for Mac as my word processing programme. Will I still have to do so with my new computer ie buy MS office for Mac (the disk I have apparently won't work with intel computers.) Ugh. I hate the thought of it. But iWork is no use unless I can send and receive attachments from MS computers. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Sussex Mac User Group" group.
