Asuming all of your contacts are in Gmail and (very important) you don't mind spending a fair amount of time cleaning both Gmail and Address book entries and anticipate alot of duplicates initially you can set Mail to sync contacts with GMail. Bear in ind that you will copy all of the info from one to the other and it can be more trouble than its worth.
You can also import contacts as (I think) a csv file from Google to Mail.
