When the song is playing, get to the iTunes "Now playing" screen which  
shows the album art and controls. Tap on the screen which will bring  
up the scrubber bar and the genius (iPhone OS 3 and above I think),  
repeat and shuffle controls. When the shuffle and repeat icons are  
blue that means they are active. Tap the appropriate control until it  
turns white and then it's off.
