Check your settings for SSL on the incoming and outgoing servers. If they're set to connect using SSL try turning it off and see if that helps. It could also be O2's systems having a problem with your account. The "would you like to re-enter your password" error message is sometimes a generic response to a refusal from the mail server to grant access. It goes along the lines of 'error received from the mail server, it's probably your password, would you like to re-enter it just in case'.
