Hi. A further problem. Earlier this morning I was logged onto the network at the marina where I keep my narrow boat. All fine.
Then I put the iBook to sleep - it went out instantly, which I thought odd. When I came back from buying my newspaper, the laptop was buzzing and when I picked it up it was really hot. It wouldn't respond and took quite a few tries to do anything and all I could get it to do eventually was to shut down. I left it to cool down, switched it back on - and now it won't recognise the wifi network. It keeps asking for a wep password or code and when I type it in and attempt to connect, it just comes back with a message telling me the connection timed out. Any ideas? Fortunately I've got a 3 mobile dongle which I'm using now - but the marina network was much faster!!!
