Hmmm.

Since 1984 I've had a Macintosh, Macintosh Plus, a IIci, G3 Desktop,  
iLamp, current G4 iBook and current iMac. The power supply expired on  
the original Macintosh (apparently a common problem), the hard disks  
needed replacing in the G3 and the iLamp and the power supply and  
power something (Sam knows what!) failed in my iMac. Hard disks can  
fail in anything and they're fairly generic I would have thought, so  
that means two power supply failures in 25 years which is not bad I  
reckon. I've certainly had more varied problems with work PCs over the  
same time period. I'm happy.
