Hi Ranulph I see this a lot when people move applications from the Applications folder, either into a different folder completely or a subfolder of a different name. Check the Applications folder to see if there's a new version of iChat. Also command + click on the iChat icon in the dock, that'll show in it in the Finder, just check that that version is in the Applications folder (not a subfolder).
