Well, the panic hasn't recurred.

However, every time I start my machine I get an error report : "You
shut your machine down because there was a problem". If I try and
report it, nothing, though I've managed to get the text of an error
report into Text Edit in my admin account.

So I started in safe mode. All fine.

So I reset PRAM. (Actually this was when I got to find the error
report in my admin account). However, I now can't connect to my
airport express. I've thought about restoring from back up (thank
Apple for Time Machine) but I have no idea what to restore.

2 iPhones and an iMac are fine, wirelessly connecting to our ISP. I'm
about to go and plug my router into my Ethernet port on my MacBook.
Any other bright ideas?

Thanks

Russell (from my phone)
