Hi all,

Can anyone help untangle a mystery? No giggling now ... In iTunes/On my iPod I
have:

Deep Purple - Entire album - "Greatest Hits"
Fleetwood Mac - Sara & Rhiannon - "Greatest Hits"
Police - Invisible Sun - "Greatest Hits"
Earth, Wind & Fire - Boogie Wonderland - "Greatest Hits"

In iTunes, Search for "Greatest Hits" using album grouping view (middle button
iTunes 9) and all the Deep Purple tracks are there as expected together. As
unexpected (maybe) all the other 4 tracks appear as 'one album' with the
Fleetwood Mac artwork.

When I select by album on my iPod, all DP tracks are there but mixed in are the
4 other tracks above.

In iTunes, same view, search for Invisible Sun or Boogie Wonderland and they
show has having the Fleetwood Mac album cover. Select 'Info' for either in
iTunes, go to the artwork tab and the correct artwork displays.

On my iPod, selecting FM's Greatest Hits displays the same tracklist as the DP
Greatest Hits and in Album list view shows the artist as Earth, Wind and Fire.

Searching for either Boogie Wonderland or Invisible Sun and playing them
displays the correct album art (as it appears in Get Info in iTunes).

Has anyone a clue what's happening here and how I can fix it? It must be
connected with the fact that all of them have the Album as 'Greatest Hits' but
even when I set 'Album Artist' to appropriate individual names and re-synced it
made no difference.

I've run Get Info over all the extra 4 tracks and apart from the Album name
there seems nothing to connect them.

Odd.
