That's what I'm doing right now. I moved iWork 08 to the trash, and (as is my custom) emptied the trash, which I have set so it automatically empties securely. I carried on reading some documents and not really paying attention.
So now, after about half an hour, there are apparently still about 33,000 files to delete. Whirring fans, a slowly creeping progress bar, moving inexorably to the right... If I stop the process when I go to bed, am I going to cause any difficulties? Presumably it will be a partially completed job which will just resume when I tell it to get going again.
