Hi Andrew,

Before converting the disc try to see if you can extract the entire
contents to your Mac's hard-drive using any of these applications:

Mactheripper

Ripit

Fairmount (and VLC)

It is much easier to work with video files once they are off the disc
I find.

Then set to work on the disc with either of:

Handbrake

MPEG Streamclip
