Hmmm...I suspect the router but propose to do a deep clean. Tips
please on how to wipe the Macs HD with Snow Leopard - used to be easy
with Leopard. Also should I delete Time Machine back up and can I copy
data files and then reinstall without fear of infection?

hijack, resolving www.google.co.uk to a Chinese IP address - could
be local malware, compromised router, compromised ISP, or perhaps
something else entirely... Definitely something not right though -
be wary!
