Hi, I am not the most organized person in the world. Apart from my desk, which houses everything and the cat, I need to organize my disks.
I have back up in a dropbox account, which is great as I am always travelling and in a 500Gb disk, with 3 partitions, 1 for Time Machine, 1 for Mac files and 1 for Windows files. But as I was looking for something the other day, there are lots of redundant files and folders. In fact, I migrated from a PC to Mac 1 year ago and just copied everything ignoring any house cleaning - hence the mess. Bar moving all the files into a single folder and eliminating the duplicates, does any of you know of more "professional" way, let's put it, of doing it? Or software that does it? I intend to do it over the Easter break, as well as formatting the iMac. I am sure this reshuffling will clear space in the external disk so I won't need to buy another one. Some files are really huge, like a medical atlas (Netter) and another program about shipping and having them in duplicate or even triplicate. Thanks.
