Thanks Pul,

i tried everything, but looking at forums, it seems in my case it was hardware
failure, so i part exchanged and upgraded so i now have guarantee of mind, but
it smells of a design fault, and i wonder if apple are just supressing exactly
how many units have this issue,

After no problems with connecting my 2nd Generation Touch to Wifi, it suddenly
failed, shortly after updating System Software.
Re-inputting passwords tried with no joy... Ended up having to do Restore as
last resort... Fortunately the backup proved OK and Wifi was back up and
running - no further issues since !

Hello,
my 2nd gen 8gb Itouch, doesn't connect to the net anymore, with the dreaded
greyed out 'no wifi' message on the settings page,
anyone have any idea what to do? or if this is some kind of design fault?
forums seem to suggest a hardware fault, one moment it was working next moment
trying to connect and then gone, makes me very nervous about this technology...
