I just collected my son's iMac and gave them a Mac Mini. The G5 iMac was
shipped November 2005 according to the box (and I think I have the receipt
somewhere...).

How do I go about getting Apple to consider repairing the screen (and it looks
like the FW ports have stopped working too -- last thing FW succeeded in was
transferring the old data, thankfully). I know there isa law about seven years
and so on -- but how do I go about this? I imagine if I ring them, I'll get
short shrift. Does anyone know the precise details of the law (Sam, I think
you've pulled this off in the past?). I mentioned it in the Apple store when
buying the Mac Mini and got almost laughed out of the shop (very politely)...
