Hi Andy A NetGear router's implementation of WDS doesn't generally mesh that well with Apple's version of it. I've never been able to get the two devices to speak to eachother. Your best (and most reliable) bet is to use a powerline networking kit (if you've got power in the outbuilding coming from the house) and the airport express creating a separate wireless network.
