If you go into settings (top right of the screen) and look near the top. You'll see a field for setting the number of emails you can view at a time. The minimum is 25 and the maximum is 100. Once you've set the number you want, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on save changes. Then you can select all in view and delete up to 100 at a time instead of 25. Not perfect, but four times quicker...
