It sounds like your application is corrupted, perhaps as a result of a failed 
update. You probably just need to reinstall the app. You won't lose any data. 
Here's how:

* Quit BusyCal.
* Remove the BusyCal icon from the Dock.
* Delete your current version of BusyCal from the Applications folder.
* Download BusyCal from http://www.busymac.com/download/BusyCal.zip.
* Copy BusyCal to the Applications folder and launch it.

If that doesn't solve it, please send me your logs so I can see what is wrong, 
by launching BusyCal while holding down the option key to display the Startup 
Options dialog, then select Send Logs to BusyMac and click Continue.
