Hi bunker and welcome to the SMUG list :-)

Do you have 'Sync only ticked songs and video' ticked on your iPod touch's 
Summary page when connected via iTunes? If you have, then maybe your podcasts 
that are not being copied are not ticked which is easy to remedy. As you can 
have different settings between devices it's possible that your Nano is copying 
all podcasts referred to on the Podcasts page, ticked or not.
