I tried to get a better connection in November in the Aveyron. Previously my
mum was using her UK dial-up to connect which was not a great solution. I
bought a pay-as-you-go dongle (cle internet) from SFR but could not get it to
work. A local mac-loving expat had a go at his place and got it to work but
even he could not make it work at my mum's place which is less remote if
anything. To cut a along story short he got a connection after a fashion using
another dongle but I am not sure which (might be Orange).

Oddly enough I was having dinner down there a couple of years ago and the
conversation turned to computers and someone was singing the praises of the
guru they used... our own Sam Mullen of course.
