Ethics wise, based on recent discussions in this group;  Its fine if
its for your self, its bad if its to give to someone else.
as for B, i believe all of those options would work, If it was an
intel mac that was bootcamp capable, then with a disk utility copy and
a HD partition copy I think you would lose the bootcamp section of the
DVD, as its a partition that only windows can usually see.  This would
be irrelevant for a G5 though.  I once had to clone a 10.4 install dvd
we had bought for a G3 lampshade imac that only had a CD drive.  It
could boot from the firewire harddrive and install fine, so i believe
all macs are able to do this.
