All, I'm doing an increasing volume of foreign language user manual layouts. The usual process is that I received a Word document from a translator from which I simply copy and paste the new language into an existing English InDesign layout paragraph by paragraph – applying styles and making layout adjustments as I go. It's a pretty tiresome and long winded process however.
What would be really nice would be if I could import much larger chunks of copy and have it automatically pick-up the existing InDesign paragraph styles. I'd then just have to tidy the copy over-run at the end of each chunk. Does anybody know if this is possible?
