As assiduous readers of this column will know, my computers have had a rather
larger than usual number of logic board replacements!

Each time there is a new logic board, as well as each time I use a backup
machine because my normal machine is in Mac Hospital, I have to reregister (in
iTunes) software and bought items from my iPod touch, and each time I lose one
of my 5 lives. I have by now nearly lost all of them.

Does anyone know what happens when all 5 lives are up?

This could mean I lose all the software I have bought, along with music and so
on.
