Yes I was, .......as you say bog standard WMA is no improvement on MP3. Frustrating really as the documentation that came with the player said that it would recognise PCM format (which I CAN convert to) but in fact it doesn't like that format at all.
If I plug in the hard drive (formatted to FAT32 as required) with any files but WMA or MP3 it crashes the software on the player and I have to power off to reset. Needless to say the manufacturer is closed for the duration so no response from them expected till after New Years. Thanks for all the input...
