every now and then my Mac Pro (output via USB to amp) suddenly switches
to some kind of 'coloured noise' (ie a bit like pink or white noise) in
a reverberating wave. Very very unpleasant. Going to Audio Midi set-up
and reselecting 24 bit fixes it.
any ideas what's going on here and how to avoid this?
