Good point, although I'd probably just use the fw800 port ;) I'll be swapping my SSD into the laptop anyway so hopefully no need for migration! If there are issues with the thunderbolt drivers I'll just image the drive, reinstall then migrate over gigabit Ethernet from the disk image.
