The person I chatted to was a developer and had an advance copy of 10.7 the
laptop being used. This person was adamant that it is working and in this
person's opinion it is running better than 10.6. Good luck to you if you have
had no problems with 10.6 but I have to tell you I have had lots of mail
problems with it, where no fault exists on 10.4 which is on my desktop
computer. Others have had problems with 10.6 too.
If you have specific problems, feel free to post about them here and see if we can help (but I too have heard of a few strange bugs in Mail under Snow Leopard)

But it's been an unusually lumpy day or so on SMUG in general (and I'm as much -- if not more -- to blame as anyone, so I've had a word with myself, as admin) so can we swing conversations back to specifics rather than general judgements please folks? I stress I am also pulling myself (and no-one in particular) back into line here.

As in, can we make some effort to start or continue conversations that have a natural end built-in conclusion rather than sweeping issues and judgements. When a couple of threads have gone lumpy, it seems to attract a spate of 'my 2 cents' worth' which wearies lists fast.

Please think before you post until the lumpy atmosphere has passed.

The list is not primarily for the sharing of opinions, but of *particular* issues, solutions and guidance.

Thanks.
