If all you need is basic internet access and home network do you really want to 
spend £145 on an airport extreme when a bog standard non apple wireless router 
is going to achieve that at a price nearer to  £60?  netgear belkin etc.

there is no question that the apple bit of kit is good dual band twin network 
has a nice apple logo on it but do you need all that?
