Thanks Stephen - I've now solved the problem. I deleted the NG app, downloaded it again (magically it seemed to retain all the data) and then the download started successfully. All this may be because I was using a different iPad - the previous one having broken and I got a new replacement from the Apple store in Covent Garden - long story....perhaps the NG site was puzzled that I was using a different machine to the one I initially downloaded the app onto? Thanks anyway for the message.
