Hi all, I don't know whether this has been there all along and I missed it (true I think!) or whether Apple listened to my request, but if you use MobileMe and have email aliases it's possible to send from an iOS device using any of them by tapping the From: field - a popup appears allowing you to select a different address.
I was not able to post to SMUG before because I'm registered with an address that was not the one that Mail put in the From: field. Hmmm - I've checked and it's there in iOS 3.1.3 so I think I managed to completely miss that feature until now. Doh!
