Virginia, I assume that your router doesn't have a WPS button and doesn't support WPS. These instructions apply; > If your router does not support WPS: > Step 3: Wirelessly connect to the Extender network > by connecting to NETGEAR_EXT. I would have thought you should be able to do this from the Network System preferences - just look for a Network Name of NETGEAR_EXT. I'm looking at the installation guide that came with the WN2000RPT. Personally I'd have bought an Airport Express which does the same and more but does cost more.
