Please people...what's on the table is
1) lump it, take the rough with the smooth of your elected moderator
2) Organise a new moderator
But this option
3) continue the thread by stealth
is not on the table.
I also think that it's inappropriate to have digs at me in running
option 3. If you want an unmoderated list, organise a vote and I will
step down without rancour.
While I'm moderator, any discussion of moderation will be
outcome-focussed -- if you are unhappy, do something to solve it, please.
The list will almost certanily degenerate into insoluble disagreement
otherwise.
end of topic and related discussion around it -- unless it's a post to a
constructively focussed poll. And with thanks to those who have
contacted me here or privately, votes of thanks or support ALSO qualify
as noise, however well-meaning.
I'd like the list to move on and get back to relevant topics please.
