Thanks Sam,

I'll check the video and then bite the bullet. I remember removing all the keys from my iMac keyboard a couple of years ago and having a few sweaty moments replacing the spacebar.

Pop the top edge off the hinge then slide up and out of the hinge's 'teeth'

Hi Martin

It's quite easy to pop the keys off and check underneath, if you watch a video on YouTube you'll see. Essentially you insert a small flat blade screwdriver under the side edge of the key but between the key and the scissor hinge. Twist the screwdriver to pop the top edge off the hinge first, then

Getting them back on is quite simple too, just slide the bottom edge downwards onto the 'teeth' of the scissor hinge then push the top edge down to clip back in.

My trusty 15" PowerBook G4 has developed a fault with one of its keys. The "T" key as it happens. It appears sticky and only works if I carefully press it. I assume some gunk has got underneath it. I have read on the internet that it is possible to remove the key to clean underneath it. However I have also read that is is very easy to break it.

Anyone have any advice or experience of such things. I did read how to remove the keyboard on iFixit but that was just terrifying.
