About a year ago I abandoned Canon's own scanning software in favour of Image Capture which I been using with the Canon MG5250 for use wirelessly and it works very well with Lion. Of course this is a recent Canon product so one might expect it do so. We know how poor Canon software support is for older products which is one reason I've taken such an interest in Image Capture. Someone I'm acquainted with has bothered to cart his scanner into the local Apple Store to find out if it will work with Lion - raised a few eyebrows but it had an good outcome as it didn't but VueScan offered a solution that works. There is a VueScan Mobile for wireless scanners that allows you to scan into your favourite iOS device for £6.99.
