I use Koolclip for saving multiple clips. You have to go to it in the menu bar to choose a clip other than the last saved one but still very handy. It is free http://www.kudang.com/koolclip/desktop.html.
I also use TextExpander to save snippets which can be recalled using an abbreviation (like Typeit4me I guess). It is free to try indefinitely http://www.smilesoftware.com/TextExpander/.
